Overview

Your domain, hosting, and DNS each have a job

Your domain is your business’s online name, such as yourcompany.com. Hosting is where your website runs. DNS is the set of records that tells internet services where to find your website, deliver your email, and verify the tools using your domain.

These services can live with different providers and still work together. App Wizard reviews your existing connections, manages the records they depend on, and checks changes so you have a clear point of contact for your domain settings.

How we work

A clear path from review to resolution

We check what is connected before making changes, then verify the updated records and the service they support.

  1. 1

    Review the Connections

Identify your domain provider, DNS account, website host, email provider, and existing records.

  2. 2

    Plan the Update

Confirm the requested connection, provider instructions, affected services, and timing.

  3. 3

    Update the Records

Make the needed changes and coordinate with the relevant providers when their involvement is required.

  4. 4

    Check and Document

Verify the updated records and service connection, and record what changed for future support.

Common questions

Domain & DNS Management FAQs

Practical answers about scope, process, and expectations.

Is DNS management included in my website management plan?

Yes. App Wizard’s Basic Website Management plan includes managing the DNS records that connect your website, business email, and related tools. We handle the configuration work with access to the account where those records are managed.

Do my domain, website, and email need to use the same provider?

No. Your domain can be registered with one provider, your website hosted with another, and your email handled by Google Workspace or another email service. We coordinate the DNS records that connect them.

Can you manage my existing domain settings?

Yes. We start by reviewing your current provider and records, then arrange the account access needed to make changes. We check which records your website, email, and other tools rely on before updating the setup.

Do DNS changes take effect immediately?

Not always. Internet services may keep a saved copy of your previous DNS records for a period of time. We account for that when planning changes, check the updated records, and explain any remaining wait before the connection is ready.
